Feeling unlucky or stuck in your relationships?
You’re not alone and you’re not broken.
Laugh...Play...Be Present
We have been together for 36 years. Being honest it has not always been smooth sailing. Life happens and we can get caught up in the drama of it all: Aging parents and death of parents, financial stuff, unemployment, moving, just the fact that we grew up in totally different households with different personalities.
It all comes into play with how we become who we are as an individual to then come together in partnership.
This was a spontaneous day where we were in a funk with each other. We did not want to talk or really be with each other so we decided to remove ourself from our space and go to our favorite space, the beach.
This kind of day, moment rekindles a spark and allows you to forget the bullshit.
Family
The Kids Grow Up
We grew a family and Whew! Lots of learning there. That love for a child... is a strong one. As a parent I can say, We often did not know what the hell we were doing, there is no manual. As a couple growing together as parents as well it is not all a cake walk.
You are not always going to agree, which can cause tension and lots of feelings. There are decisions to be made and ways to handle situations and often one voice can get louder than another in the relationship.

The interaction with the kids is all a learning process and how you nurture them, be aware of what the difference is between reacting and responding.

The simplicity and reality to create a safe space in the family unit it is about trusting, listening and making the time for one another.

The bonus is that our grown children still call often and want to hang out. So grateful!

Love for Self
This has been a journey! I have been so hard on myself ever since I was a child. As I have stepped and truly owned more of who I am as a creative, spiritual person, entrepreneur, teacher, mom, wife (partner), daughter, sister all of these roles have helped shaped me to Love myself beyond the Surface.
To truly accept myself, forgive myself, and be excited about what I, Hollis, want to do with my time. Become curious about what I like and don't like. Magically when you approach life with this mindset, life becomes so much more fun, joyful and loving.
